Our Philosophy
As Mountain Sport Coaches we have spent many happy days ourselves on courses all around the hills and mountains of The British Isles . We have also had some bad days. These bad days tended to share one common element; instructors with a high opinion of themselves who run their courses in a militaristic, bullying fashion.

We Make Learning Mountain Sports Easy & Fun
At Astounding Adventures we want to make learning mountain sports easy & fun. We achieve this with a simple philosophy:
- Firstly, we coach you - we don't instruct you
- Secondly, we guide you - we don't lead you
- Thirdly, we consider the coach-student relationship a two-way relationship. In fact we sometimes learn as much from you as you do from us.

We want our courses to be run by happy, enthusiastic coaches and guides.
We do this simply - we pay them well.
