A rider zooms down some flowing singletrack

Ride description

The Surrey Hills are home to some of the finest forest MTB trails in the South-East of the England. Much of the very best singletrack can be found on Holmbury Hill, Pitch Hill and in Winterfold Woods.

Come along for a quick guided ride down some of these classic trails; all cleverly joined up by your experienced local mountain bike guide.

The ride will consist of a combination of the following singletracks:

  • Barry Know's Best (aka Silent Treatment or Golden Birdies)
  • Yoghurt Pots (aka Parklife or Rollercoaster)
  • Secret Squirrel
  • Deer Trail
  • Reservoir Dogs
  • Twig's Trail
  • I Should Coco
  • Son of Coco
  • Telegraph
  • Mini Moto
  • Doug's Trail
  • 'T' Trails
  • Deathstar
  • Orange Claw Hammer (aka Flick the Vs or Christmas Pud)

Typical programme

Although guided rides are flexible they will usually keep to the following programme:

  • 14:00-14:30 Arrival at ride venue, introductions and equipment check
  • 14:30-17:30 Guided ride
  • 17:30 Ride ends

Previous experience

You must be a competent off-road mountain biker able to ride with confidence and commitment.

You will get the most out of the ride if you have already attended a Core Skills course.

Preparation and fitness

You will need to be able to ride off road for up to four hours although there will be ample opportunities for short breaks.

Equipment required

Please refer to our equipment page for a complete list.

You won't need to carry tools, a trailside repair kit or a first aid kit as your guide will have all of these.
