The Langdale Pikes
One of the most famous views in The Lake District is the jagged skyline on the North aside of Langdale Valley. A traverse of The Langdale Pikes: Pavey Arc, Harrison Stickle and Pike o' Stickle via the Dungeon Ghyll and Stickle tarn makes for an excellent day in the mountains.
In good weather an ascent of Pavey Arc via Jake’s Rake is possible. This is an easy, if exposed, rock scramble that traverses the huge cliff below Pavey Arc and is a popular mountaineering route onto the tops.

No previous experience of mountaineering is required. However, you will get the most out of the day if you are a competent moorland walker.
You must have a head for heights and be comfortable spending a full day in the hills.
You should have a good standard of fitness as we will be spending a full day walking and scrambling out in the hills.

You won't need to carry a map, compass, first aid kit or shelter as your guide will have all of this.
