The Glyderau via Y Gribin
The twin peaks of the Glyderau, Glyder Fach and Glyder Fawr, are joined by a wide, boulder strewn plateau. While most walkers climb up to them via The Devil’s Kitchen and then descend towards Bwlch Tryfan, our route will take you up the more rewarding route of the ridge of Y Gribin avoiding treacherous scree slopes.
With some easy scrambling along the way we will then take in both tops before descending a little known path down from the upper cliff of Glyder Fawr into the Nameless Cwm and then down into Cwm Idwal. This hidden path is steep with some short rock steps to scramble down adding additional interest to the descent.
Although the day is flexible it will usually keep to the following programme:

The course will not involve any scrambling, although at times you may feel more comfortable steadying yourself with your hands in places.
You should have a good standard of fitness as we will be spending a full day walking and scrambling out in the hills.
Please refer to our equipment page for a complete list.
You won't need to carry a map, compass, first aid kit or shelter as your guide will have all of this.
